I don't know what to put on my resume.
Start away from the page. Sit down and write out everything you've done in your job, the small stuff included, however unimportant it feels. Then read the job ad and pick out the things the recruiter is asking for. That list is where most people find their best line, because it's usually something they'd never have thought to mention. If you'd rather be asked questions than stare at a blank page, the AI prompts page has ready-made prompts that interview you and organize what you tell them.
Do I need an account?
Not to build. Open the builder and start writing now. You need an account to save your resume and to use your 1 free PDF download a month; a subscription makes downloads unlimited.
What does the subscription cover?
Unlimited printing. Every signed-in account gets 1 free PDF download a month; the subscription removes that limit. Every layout, every color and every part of the editor are free, and your saved resume is free too. Room for more resumes comes from storage packs, not from the subscription. The pricing page has the exact numbers.
How do I get a PDF?
Hit Download as PDF in the top bar. The file is prepared on our servers, exactly as the preview shows it, and lands in your browser downloads a few seconds later.
Will the PDF pass an applicant tracking system?
The page is real text, not an image, so a machine can read it. No system reads every layout perfectly, so pick one of the plainer layouts when you know a company screens automatically.
Should I put a photo on my resume?
It depends on the country. You can add one, and the country rules page tells you whether employers where you're applying expect it, ignore it, or throw the resume out for it.
Can I get my data out?
Yes. The account page has a Download my data button. It gives you one file holding your account details and every resume you saved.
How many resumes can I keep?
1 with any account, subscribed or not. Each storage pack adds 4 more for $5. A pack is paid for once and yours for good, separately from the subscription, so canceling never takes storage you paid for.
What happens if I cancel?
You keep the month you paid for and aren't billed again. After that every resume you made is still there and still editable, and any storage packs stay yours. You only lose printing. Nothing gets deleted unless you ask.
Can I get a refund?
If you haven't downloaded a PDF yet, yes. In the EU, the EEA, the UK and Switzerland you have 14 days from a first payment to change your mind, for any reason, and a storage pack works the same way. Once you download a PDF you've had the thing the subscription sells, and that ends the right to change your mind. A few other countries have a shorter window, and the refund policy lists them. If something's actually wrong with what you bought, that's separate and has no deadline.
What happens if a payment fails?
The PDF download stops right away. The card is retried, and the download comes back the moment a retry succeeds; your billing page shows what's happening and is where you update the card. Everything else is untouched: your resumes stay saved and editable, and nothing is deleted.
Do you use my resume to train anything?
No. There's no AI in this product. Your resume is never training data and is never shared.
Where is my data stored?
Encrypted in Amazon Web Services. Each account has its own storage area, and only the service can read or write it.
Can I delete my account?
Yes, from the account page. That removes your resumes and your personal details. We keep only the billing records tax law requires.
How is this different from Zety, Resume.io or Canva?
Most resume builders are made for the US job market and sell through a short trial that renews. Here, building is free, one price covers the PDF download, your resumes stay yours after you cancel, a person answers your messages, and the rules for 198 countries are built in.
